Fa Yang —the Fishing Lures Manufacturer Insisting in Pragmatic Business
Given that the leader of a nation wants his country strong and wealthy, he must cultivate the small businesses into big ones. Taiwan's thriving up contributes to the OEM industry of small businesses. In other words, small businesses in Taiwan are pivotal to the economic. And the small businesses persisting in perseverance and pragmatic style are a priceless godsend.
Traditional manufacturing method is the mainstream of manufacturing fishing lures. Old clients get used to it, and the new ones accept this as well. Everyone is accustomed to this SOP for decades. However, an experience of exhibition in Japan inspires Mr. Kou to change Fa Yang's archaic producing module. Mr. Kou said traditional fishing lures are made by PC, a kind of plastic that threatens ocean clines; yet the environmental-friendly fishing lures he saw in Japan were made by a soft plastic, which did less harm to the ocean. However, the only drawback of this fishing lure was that it was easily decomposed under the exposure of sunlight, and the quality of it was still unstable.
The reason why Fa Yang could take large orders from Europe is because of its sturdy foundation of pragmatic managing style. Mr. Kou succeeded his predecessor's practical business style—pure business on business, no social intercourse and no discrediting others. One of Mr. Kou's Euro clients, who originally cooperated with other three OEMs, turned to Fa Yang because the official of the Euro company found their sales representative had improper inmate relationships with the female sales of the three Taiwan OEMs.Thus, the official cut off that business line and turned to cooperate with Fa Yang. What's more surprise was that Fa Yang at that time just occupied two pages of the product catalogue. With trust and pragmatism, Fa Yang built a strong word of mouth in the field of fishing lures manufacture.
